Industry InfoThe biodiesel industry has many facets which this website will discuss. In terms of producing the necessary feedstocks for the industry, farmers are needed to produce the virgin agricultural oils as feedstocks and renderers are needed to recycle waste cooking oil into a usable biodiesel feedstock. These oils are then delivered to a biodiesel production plant. Finally, the finished biodiesel is then distributed to oil retailers in blends for sale to consumers. Most of the information provided on this portion of the website pertains to laws and regulations surrounding biofuel production, as well as information on how biodiesel affects farms in the United States that are interested in producing biodiesel. There are also other sources of information on the biofuel industry such as presentations made by people involved in the industry and diagrams that show the steps necessary in the production and distribution of biofuel.
